Topics and Tracks

AIFB 2026 welcomes high-quality original research that represents methodological innovations at the intersection of artificial intelligence, hardware security, IoT security, and forensic engineering. Prospective authors are invited to submit their original contributions in the following tracks:

  • Biometrics & Forensic Biometrics: AI-based biometric recognition and verification, presentation attack detection (face, iris, fingerprint, voice), deepfake and synthetic identity forensics, multimodal biometrics and score-level fusion, bias, robustness, explainability in biometric systems, and validation of biometric evidence for forensic use.
  • Multimedia, Audio & Visual Forensics: Image and video manipulation detection, face morphing and deepfake forensics, audio and speech forensics, cross-modal forensic analysis using AI, explainable AI for multimedia evidence.
  • Hardware & Embedded Systems Forensics: Embedded device, smartphone and wearable forensics, firmware and secure-boot artefact analysis, flash/EEPROM/secure memory extraction, JTAG/UART/SWD debug-interface forensics, AI-assisted hardware reverse engineering, PCB-level and chip-off forensic techniques, detection of hardware tampering and physical manipulation.
  • Adversarial AI & Reliability of Forensic Systems: Adversarial attacks on forensic and biometric models, robustness evaluation and stress testing, dataset bias and poisoning analysis, trustworthy and explainable forensic AI, reproducibility and validation protocols.
  • Forensic Data, Management, Analytics and Reporting: Forensic data collection from heterogeneous sources, evidence ingestion and chain-of-custody management, AI for cross-device and cross-sensor evidence correlation, automated forensic triage and reporting, large-scale forensic analytics, AI-assisted timeline reconstruction, policy, ethical and regulatory aspects of forensic AI use.
